Nautica Malibu Triathlon

Dear Friends & Family

I have once again accepted the challenge of participating in the fundraising efforts surrounding the Nautica Malibu Triathlon presented by Equinox. The event takes place on September 19, 2015 and I have committed to raise at least $250 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in partnership with the event. I will be doing the swimming, cycling, and running to do my part in bringing awareness and much needed money to help combat this devastating disease called cancer. The Triathlon Classic Distance features a half-mile ocean swim, an 18 mile out-and-back bike course, and a 4-mile out-and-back run course. The course goes through some of the most beautiful roads in Malibu, with spectacular views of the mountains and the Pacific Ocean at which you can come cheer me on.
I am asking for your generosity and support in my fundraising efforts for a great cause. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many young children (cancer patients) and their families! You can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message.

Any amount, great or small, helps. I appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.

Sincerely Thank you!
Tony Ramos

#LATH – LA Trail Hiker Hike – Cucamonga Peak

Hello, my name is Tony Ramos and I will be your hike lead for this Saturday’s hike. We will be hiking to Cucamonga Peak which has some great views and is one of the highest summits in Los Angeles Mountain Range.

We will meet up at the Subway in the same shopping center as the VONS and then carpool to the Ice House parking area where we will gather and start at the primary trail head. Weather is expected to be somewhat warm with a high of 88 degrees but as we are hiking in higher elevation it is much cooler than the valley below. Remember to dress accordingly, with recommended light color clothes, hat and sunscreen. Bring enough water, a lunch or snacks and please take the time to read all the hike details (http://latrailhikers.com/hikes/cucamonga-peak/) and familiarize yourself so you know what to expect. Please be on time as I tend to start right on time. I look forward to seeing everyone bright and early Saturday morning at 6:45 am sharp!

* Notice – the early time is necessary to be able to get parking as parking is very limited and fills up quickly.

Hello Everyone

This is just an update.  It is January 28, 2009.  I have not written anything in almost a year since I posted anything, so this is a new post.

Hello Everyone,

Guess what it is now July 2008.  I have graduated as expected and am starting a new job next week.  I think things have been falling in place.  I am so grateful to all that helped me through these past 2 years and recognize that with hard work anything can be accomplished.  Keep at it and you too shall persevere.
